Stiffer jail sentences loom for illegal power connections
The net is closing in on those involved in illegal power connections and vandalism of electricity cables as Zimbabwe is considering stiffer jail sentences of more than ten years.
The Minister of Energy and Power Development, Honourable Fortune Chasi said the move is being made in line with proposed amendments to the legislation governing the power utility industry while measures are also being put in place to improve power supplies for industry and commerce.
