WhatsApp has recently submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.19.348.
What’s new in this update? Discover all details below!
- The new Delete Messages feature is not available yet.
- WhatsApp is working on this feature in the recent few updates, in order to ensure the best bug-free experience for you. For this reason it’s normal if you don’t see this features in WhatsApp, seen that it is under development.
- If you don’t see the update on the Play Store, please be patient until Google will roll out for you (probably in according to WhatsApp preferences).

The feature is still under development, and WhatsApp is starting to work again on it in the 2.19.348 update, where they renamed Disappearing Messages to Delete Messages.
When enabled, the feature can be toggled in Contact Info or Group Settings (only administrators can enable the feature in a group):
WhatsApp has also added changed the available options that will determine when messages should be deleted:
And this feature is already compatible with the Dark Theme (that’s still under development):
We don’t know yet when the feature will be available for everyone, but we surely announce it when WhatsApp is rolling out Delete Messages for everyone!
