CAPS leadership back Dodo
CAPS United vice-chairman Nhamo Tutisani said life after Lloyd Chitembwe fits them well.
CAPS are under the leadership of Darlington Dodo, who took over after Chitembwe ditched them for Harare City.
Dodo started on a losing note and is hoping to change the script today when they play Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium.
Nhamo said they have faith in Dodo and they will be patient with him as he believes he is as good as Chitembwe.
“Chitembwe departure gave us some time for introspection. It’s a big shift in the technical department.
“We have faith in Dodo and we are not pressing the panic button. Fans should also be patient with him; we know soon he will be making us proud.
“He is equally good and the target hasn’t changed yet, we will still win the championship even without Chitembwe,” said Nhamo.
CAPS will welcome back Dominic Chungwa and Valentine Musarurwa who missed the last team’s game due to suspension and injury respectively.
Makepekepe and the log leaders FC Platinum are separated with one point, despite Platinum having a game in hand.
“The target is still the same. We are going for the big one. We are not far away from it; we just have to keep doing what we have been doing.
“The boys have assured me and I believe in them. Our fans should not panic, they should stay loyal and hope for the best.
“CAPS is a big institution and our success is from hard work and team work. It’s a big opportunity for Dodo, he has to step up to the job,” he added.
Tutisani said they, however, wish Chitembwe well.
“We cannot wait for our game against Chitembwe. We also wish him well. He will always be family to us.
“We had good and bad memorable moments together, we miss him but we wouldn’t say he left a void that can’t be replaced,” he said.
